This Privacy Policy applies specifically to the EXH Prompter application (available across Mobile, Tablet, and Desktop) and related services provided by EXHANDLE (exhandle.com). EXH Prompter is designed to empower content creators, educators, public speakers, and businesses to produce professional video presentations, speeches, and video recordings with seamless teleprompter capabilities.

We take your privacy seriously. This document describes what device permissions EXH Prompter requires, what data we collect, how it is handled, and how your personal content is protected.

1. Device Permissions & Data Usage

To provide core teleprompter and video recording functionality, EXH Prompter requests certain device permissions. We adhere strictly to the principle of minimal data access:

a. Camera Access

  • Purpose: Used exclusively to preview and record your video presentations while simultaneously scrolling your script text on the screen.
  • Data Handling: Video streams are processed locally on your device in real time. EXH Prompter does not stream, capture, or store your camera feeds on our servers. Your recorded videos remain entirely on your local device unless you deliberately export or share them.

b. Microphone & Audio Access

  • Purpose: Used to capture your voice during video recording, or for intelligent voice-tracking / speech recognition that automatically scrolls the teleprompter text as you speak.
  • Data Handling: Audio recording is processed locally on your device. Audio data is not transmitted to external servers for profiling or advertising purposes.

c. Local Storage & Photo Library (Media Access)

  • Purpose: Used to save completed video recordings to your device's photo gallery/storage, and to allow you to import or export text scripts (.txt, .docx, PDF).
  • Data Handling: EXH Prompter only accesses the specific files and directories you select. We do not scan or access unrelated personal files or photos on your device.

d. Bluetooth & Nearby Devices

  • Purpose: Used to connect optional wireless controllers (Bluetooth remote controls, foot pedals, or wireless keyboards) to adjust scroll speed, pause/resume, and change font size hands-free.
  • Data Handling: Used solely for immediate hardware control commands. No personal data is collected or transmitted through these hardware interfaces.

2. User Accounts & Cloud Script Synchronization

You can use EXH Prompter in guest/offline mode without creating an account. If you choose to sign in using your EXHANDLE Identity account:

  • Account Data: We store your email address, full name, assigned member code, and subscription status (Free, VIP Creator, Pro) to verify service entitlements.
  • Cloud Script Sync: Your saved scripts (titles, text content, estimated duration, and formatting preferences) are securely synchronized to our encrypted database (EXHUSER Central Cloud). This allows you to write scripts on desktop and read them on mobile or tablet seamlessly.
  • Ownership: You retain 100% full intellectual property ownership of all scripts and creative content you produce. We will never use your private scripts for training or commercial distribution.

3. Data Protection & Security Standards

  • All communications between EXH Prompter and our cloud infrastructure are encrypted using modern Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3 / HTTPS).
  • Database records are stored in secure enterprise-grade SQL infrastructure with strict authentication and role-based access control.
  • We implement continuous monitoring and security logging to prevent unauthorized access.

4. Third-Party Services & Analytics

EXH Prompter may integrate standard platform services to ensure stability:

  • App Stores & In-App Purchases: Apple App Store and Google Play Services manage app distribution and subscription billing. Your financial details (credit cards, banking information) are handled exclusively by Apple or Google and are never visible to EXHANDLE.
  • Crash Reporting: Anonymous, non-personally identifiable diagnostic crash logs may be collected to help our engineering team identify and fix application bugs.

5. User Control & Data Deletion

You have complete control over your content and data:

  • Delete Scripts: You can delete any script at any time directly within the app. Deleting a script removes it from your device and marks it deleted in the cloud sync database.
  • Delete Account: You can request full deletion of your EXHANDLE account and all associated cloud scripts at any time by contacting us or through the account portal. Upon confirmation, your data will be permanently purged within 30 days.

6. Children's Privacy

EXH Prompter is a professional productivity application designed for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13.

7. Updates to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to accommodate new application features, operating system requirements, or legal compliance. The updated version will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
